The mission of Girls In Sport: Be The Next uses the power of sports to unleash the potential in girls. Working to create long-term changes that lead to more positive conduct and healthy social development across the board. The programs aim is to encourage and inspire all girls to develop a positive relationship with body confidence, self-esteem, healthy lifestyles and social media through sports by shining the spotlight on leading women and role models in sport who have achieved their full potential.
GIS: Be The Next youth programs over the last five years have shown the possibilities young people can have if given the opportunity. Learning from people who were once like them, by challenging their mindset and the norms and allowing them to make themselves better.
I founded the Girls In Sport: Be The Next program because I am passionate about engaging young people, with a focus on getting girls into sport. Over the last two years, I have toured secondary schools in the UK and internationally with leading women (athletes, broadcasters and sports businesswomen) with our program inspiring a new change and building positive attitudes towards women and girls in sport.
GIS: Be The Next has worked with over 2,000 girls over the last five years and growing.
GIS: Be The Next has worked in partnership with Nike, Fusion Lifestyle, Harris Federation, WomenEd, THIS GIRL CAN, Women In Football and countless numbers of the British Broadcasting networks to offer opportunities to girls with an interest in sports.
GIS: BeTheNext has four main programs it delivers for secondary schools and youth organisations. This includes “MakeYourself Program,” “More Than An Athlete Workshops,” “The DEEP Program,” and “The LIT Weekend Academy.”
